A. Yes, you can use mobile phone to have lessons. At the moment, student learn on ePu Platform by PC and mobile.

A. Free.
Q. Do you accept monthly bank transfer?
A. You can choose to pay via bank wire transfer if you make payment for at least 3 months of study plans payment at one go. For administrative reasons, if you opt to pay the study plan monthly, you can only choose to pay via Credit Card (VISA or Mastercard) or Paypal credits. Payment via bank wire transfer in this case is not acceptable.
Q. How does the lesson start?
A. Log in to ePu Platform at least 1 minute before the lesson starts.
Q. How much is the fee for 50 minutes everyday plan?
A. A 50-minutes everyday plan is basically the 60 lessons monthly study plan, and it costs US$209 valid in a 30 days period.
Q. Can you help to modify Chinese writing?
A. Yes. Please make a request to the tutor before the lesson starts. Please use ePu Platform chat room to send the materials to the tutor.
Q. What is the minimum number of lessons I must book?
A. If you have booked 30 lessons plan, then you must take 1 lesson everyday of the month.
If you have booked 60 lessons plan, then you must take 2 lessons everyday of the month.
If you have booked other of our flexible lessons plan, you can choose whichever day for your lesson plan as long as the lessons are completed in a 30 day period.

Q. When can a make-up lesson be offered?
A. e-Putonghua will offer a make-up lesson if there is a problem with the internet or blackout.
Q. In case for applying adjournment or withdrawal, on which day will adjournment or withdrawal start?
A. Adjournment or withdrawal will be arranged three working days before the monthly payment date.
※According to the time of adjournment or withdrawal application, the formal adjournment or withdrawal time may be the second next payment date.
※Adjournment means to suspend the study temporarily. The system will keep the students' record.

A. The function of My Tutor is to ease students in booking lessons. After login, students can see your owntutor list immediately.
Q. How can I add a tutor to My Tutor?
A. After login, go to the Booking Lessons, find the tutor name and go to the tutor's page. Add the tutor to My Tutor.
Q. What is the maximum number of tutors in My Tutor?
A. Maximum number of tutors is 20.
Q. How can I delete a tutor in My Tutor?
A. The tutor will be deleted from My Tutor if you click the delete button at the bottom of the tutor's photo.
Q. Can we change the order in My Tutor?
A. After login, the photos of the tutors will be reordered if you click on the tutors' photos.
You need to click on the finish button. However, you are unable to do so with certain web browsers.
Q. Is there any reservation priority after I register My Tutor?
A. No.
Q. What is the Preferences function for?
A. This function is for the students who have some preferences and need to make special request. For example, students with those special needs, such as, "Every time I want to introduce myself”, “I hope the teacher can speak slowly", "I want the tutors to correct my mistakes" and so on, can pre-register the special request before the lesson starts.

A. After login, please find Preferences in the Settings section. You can fill in your requirements after have logged in.
Q. How can I use the Google calendar?
A. After login, go to external connection - Google calendar can be found in Settings. With this feature, students' lesson time and tutors' name can be shown in Google calendar. Class schedule and other matters can be organized orderly.

Q. Can I link to multiple google accounts?
A. No, you can only link to only one Google account.
Q. Can Google calendar reflect the change of tutor?
A. No. As we are currently using a β version, the change will not be reflected.
Q. Can Google calendar show the change of cancellation?
A. No. As we are currently using a β version, the change will not be reflected.
Q. How can I cancel the connection of the lesson time to the Google calendar?
A. Go to My homepage-> Setting -> External connection -> Google calendar -> Click to cancel this feature.
Q. What is the reason if some tutors suddenly disappear from My Tutor?
A. Tutors' information will be deleted from website when the tutor is no longer offering his/her services anymore.

3. Study plan and tuition

Q. Can you tell me more about the daily 25-minute plan?
A. The daily 25-minute plan is intended for you to book one 25-minute lesson every day. After completing one lesson, you can book next day's lesson.
Any lesson missed in a day cannot be carried over to the next day.
Q. How much is the daily 25-minute plan?
A. It is US$109 per month.
Q. Can you tell me more about the daily 50-minute plan?
A. The daily 50-minute plan is intended for you to book two 25-minute lessons every day. After completing one lesson, you can book next day's lessons. Every day you can make two bookings. Any lesson not completed in the day cannot be carried over to the next day.
Q. How much is the daily 50-minute plan?

A. The 8 Lessons Plan means that you can book 8 lessons in 30 days.

Q. Can I sign up for multiple accounts using one email address?
A. No. One email address cannot be used to apply for multiple accounts.
Q. Can two people share the same account?

Q. What are the procedures for adjournment and withdrawal?
A. Adjournment means to suspend the study plan temporarily. Make-up lessons and student records will be kept.Withdrawal means you discontinue from the month plan. Your student records will not be kept if you withdraw.Please contact us 3 working days in advance if you want to adjourn or withdraw.After login, on the left side of My homepage, there is detailed information about adjournment and withdrawal in the procedures.
Q. Will personal information be deleted if I adjourn or withdraw?
A. Please request if there is any special need.
Q. Can I withdraw immediately after I purchase the study plan?
A. Yes. If you wish to withdraw 7 days after joining e-Putonghua, US$30 transaction fee and relevant bank or credit card charges will be deducted.
Q. After how long can I restart if I adjourn?
A. If you want to restart, you only need to choose your study plan in procedures.

A. You can confirm and make reservation if payment is made via credit card. If you have made payment via bank transfer, it takes one or two working days to confirm bank transfer. Lesson can start after the payment confirmation is received. Please use credit card payment if you wish to start the lesson quickly.
Q. How do you count tuition fee if I join in the middle of the month?
A. A new month will start from the day you join. e-Putonghua does not charge pro-rated study plans by days.
Q. If I fail to make payment transfer in Paypal, what shall I do?

Q. What is Paypal?
A. Paypal is a reliable online payment platform, with over 150 million members in over 190 countries. Students can use it with trust. Payment is made in unit of 1 month. If you request make-up lesson because the mobile phone's network quality is not good, e-Putonghua reserves the right not to conduct extra lesson.

After each lesson, students will receive the recommended preview materials.

Reservation

After login, please click "Booking Lessons". Students can select tutor according to different criteria. In addition, due tonetwork problem, there are occasions that tutors cannot provide online video lessons.

Q. How can I reserve make-up lesson?
A. If you cannot have normal lesson due to network issue or blackout, we will provide a replacement tutor. However make-up lesson will only be offered if we cannot provide a replacement tutor.
Q. At what conditions, can I apply for make-up lesson?
A. If you cannot have a lesson for over 5 minutes due to network issues or blackout, we will provide a make-up lesson. However, the following conditions are not included:
  • Tutor's network problem however e-Putonghua cannot confirm it.
  • Student's network problem.
  • Tutor's network problem however tutor has increased normal lesson time and made up the lesson.
Q. For daily plan, if I do not make booking on the day, can I apply for a make-up lesson?
A. If student does not make booking on the day, make-up lesson will not be offered.
Q. How can I reserve make-up lesson?
A. Make-up lesson reservation is the same as new lesson reservation.
In addition, the number of make-up lessons will appear under the information of normal reservation.
Q. What is the validity for make-up lesson?
A. Make-up lesson is valid until you adjourn or withdraw.
Q. Can I transfer my make-up lessons to others?
A. No. Lesson plans are not transferable.
Q. What do I need to pay attention to, if I cancel my make-up lesson?
A. You cannot make a new booking at the same time for make-up lesson.
Q. Is there any holiday in the study program when there is no lesson?
A. Yes. The holidays will be in accordance with the holiday notice issued by the State Council of the People's Republic of China or the Hong Kong Government.
Q. How can the student evaluate the tutor?
A. e-Putonghua encourages students to evaluate the lesson and study progress after every lesson. The evaluation validity period is within one week after the lesson completes.

Q. Is there any limit for the lessons I can reserve?
A. For example, 30 lesson study plan

Q. Can I re-book if I cancelled my reservation?

A. Sometimes we will arrange replaced tutor if the tutor has problems with network or blackout. Regrettably, there may be occasional issue with internet in the Mainland China.
Q. What kind of tutor should I select if I have never learned Mandarin before?
A. Students should choose tutors suitable for beginners or with a certain ability level of English or command of other language.
Q. What is the schedule for morning lessons?

Q. How can I cancel my booking?
